I love trying new things when it comes to photography, but I've been having some trouble finding people who are willing to go out of the box with me. Last month, I had the pleasure of shooting 2 ladies under a sexy theme: Boudoir Photography. For those of you who are not familiar with this style of photography, the photos often scream "sexy" and allows the viewer to use their imagination. Nudity can be used, however I find it more sensual of the implication of possible nudity (a little skin, makes the mind wonder) as opposed to a full on show of the subjects body. These ladies had a blast during their sessions and they are beautiful, full figured women who were not afraid to bring out their inner sexy goddess. Enjoy!
I had a great weekend! I stopped at a few venues; from The Big Apple Barbecue on 23rd street on June 9th, to Girls Night Out at SIR Stage 23 on 37th street and 11th ave. Then I ended the weekend celebrating my cousins’ birthday at Brother Jimmy’s on 33rd and Lexington!
BBQ’s
Had some great BBQ at The Great American Barbecue. Starting with Ed Mitchell Barbecue, Blue Smoke, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Jim N’ Nick’s Bar-B-Q and Hill Country and more. The lines where long but well worth the wait!
When it comes around next year be sure to stop in and take a look. The cook out takes place during one weekend in June. Take a look and like the event on Facebook for updates. The entry fee is free and each plate is $8. It best to share plates because they’re re so many vendors to try. Why get full before you try everything you want to try! There are other things going on to keep you busy when you’re not stuffing your face; from music to games and cooking events.
While attending the The Big Apple Barbecue there was another event going on down Madison ave, I couldn’t help but check it out. The Festival of India in North America had beautiful floats and people, which I truly enjoyed. http://www.festivalofindia.org/?q=node/201
Girls Night out an event in which I have always enjoyed going to, disappointed me a bit this spring. The Goodie bags where made of plastic and didn’t overflow with “goodies” as they have in the past. They didn’t even have the events name on the bag! I remember years ago when there where wait staff that came around with drinks and served the women, music filled the hall and they’re where vendors everywhere you turned. The women leaving this event (who have been faithful to the event for years) left disappointed. There were so many women asking what in the world happened to the bags and quality of the event?
Even though I was disappointed with the event, there was a vendor there that I just fell in love with: Shea on U. Shea on U is a family own business that takes pride in their Shea butter fusion lotion. Sweet smells open your senses and the smooth richness of the lotion is good for body and hair. They are fabulous. Check them out at http://sheaonu.com/
The weekend ended with a celebration at Brother Jimmy's on Lexington Avenue. Well hey, the weekend started with eating, it might as well end that way too!
I have walked the streets and avenues between 32nd and 44th street since I've been working on 33rd street. A few times I have come across a young man that draws images in between the blocks any where from 5 to 2 ave. He has some really nice pieces. He has always been very humble and grateful for the donations given for his work. I've attached the pictures for you guys to look at and I hope you guys enjoy. He says that he prays all the time for good fortune and just a leg up on his life, and he uses his drawing to share his talent. I truly hope he is successful in his dreams and that he gets the help he needs. Not many people who have a "street hustle" have drawn me in, but seeing this young man has shown me the meaning of determination.

Spice Market
I love good food and places with great layouts. My friends and I went to the spice market and below are a few images of the place. I absolutely love the look and feel of this place, but I wanted to know if the food was impressive as the ambiance. We went for lunch and I enjoyed it very much. The staff was amazing, they made me feel welcomed and allowed me to take photos. I really enjoyed myself.
Please take a look at the spice market. Thanks to Lola for the information on this place, it was a YUMMY find!
I've been a bit busy... but I wanted to share with you all some of the samplings of what I've been doing lately.

There are things to see everyday. It's not always the location that I think about when I shoot, but the colors that I see.
I had the pleasure of attending a great Fashion Show this past weekend. The Event was hosted by Under Minerva Art Gallery, and featured musical artist, Rajdulari. Here are some Pictures from the event.
Nothing is more beautiful than nature.
I love to travel, I think I mentioned that before. There is just so much to see and so many things that catch my eye. The day that I choose not to travel with my camera, is the day I miss something great. So I never leave home without it. Here are some places and things I've taken over that past couple of days.

Being a photographer may seem like the cats meow to friends and family. To be honest, most times they don't want me taking their picture. Here are some shots from a recent outing. hope you all enjoy!
Objects! Objects! Objects! You may think its a little abstract. Your comments are welcomed!
Photography is more than just taking pictures of people. Photography is artwork; and you use different textures, schemes, lighting and colors to make your photography pop. In this session, I focused on glass, and used the lighting, positions, and colors to create some pretty good shots! Enjoy!
